MORAG

“Morag” when I completed this piece, I didn’t have a name for it, and the title, Morag was suggested. A Scottish name for a highland cow- fitting! I looked into the meaning of Morag, meaning great, or sun.

I love the contrast in colour brings this highland cow forwards, shows the light. While painting I had been reflecting on how my whole outlook has changed over the past year, lighter, stronger, more joyeous. And so Morag was chosen.
