This piece was inspired during a break in Donegal, taking time to rest and replenish. I found that this place of peace encouraged a thirst to know more about the land I was visiting and the myths and legends that formed it.
It is said that the Tuatha De Danaan arrived along the cliffs of Donegal through a magical mist one morning. This painting holds that quiet unfolding of something new, an emergence and a coming home.
This piece was created using sand gathered from the beaches of Donegal coastline, and seawater from the Irish sea.
