About the Artist

“Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance.”
― Roy T. Bennett

Sam Allen is an artist based in Northern Ireland who specialises in mixed media and oil paint wildlife and animal paintings. While always a creative person, Sam Allen initially pursued a career in Social Work while creating paintings in her spare time, due to her love and passion for people and caring for others. This fed heavily into her art in later years as a further way to shed light to those around her.

During a very challenging period of her life Sam Allen completed the Art Mastery programme with the Milan Art Institute, improving her painting abilities and allowing her voice to shine through her paintings, creating paintings which bring hope and encouragement. Sam Allen aims to bring a sense of light in dark times, and provide a sense of hope and that you are not alone.

In 2021 Sam Allen launched her career as a full time artist in her studio in the countryside of Northern Ireland, taking inspiration from the colours she sees in the world around her, particularly when walking with her dogs. Sam Allen aims to bring encouragement to those who see her art and in future to bring further awareness of emotional wellbeing and highlight the beauty of the wildlife both at home and abroad, highlighting animals that are at risk of extinction.
