The Places You’ll Go: Upcoming Exhibition at Hallows Gallery

The Places You’ll Go — A New Exhibition at Hallows Gallery

This summer, I’m delighted to share that my new body of work, The Places You’ll Go, will be exhibited at Hallows Gallery. This collection continues my exploration of place, memory, and the quiet emotional landscapes that shape us.

My work has always been rooted in the idea that art can hold more than colour and form — it can hold experience. As I shared recently in an interview, “The result is a work that doesn’t just depict place, but contains it.” That line has stayed with me, because it captures exactly what I hope these paintings offer: a sense of arrival, of grounding, of being gently returned to yourself.

A Sensory Approach to Place

Each piece in this exhibition is built through layers — texture, tone, and atmosphere — creating a sensory environment rather than a literal scene. The sea, the sky, and the land appear not as subjects, but as feelings: the hush of a shoreline, the warmth of a familiar horizon, the quiet pull of home.

These works are invitations. They ask you to slow down, breathe, and step into a space that feels both expansive and intimate.

Belonging, Return, and the Stories We Carry

Much of this collection was shaped by the idea of return — how certain places hold us, even when we’re far from them. The paintings explore the emotional weight of belonging: the places we come back to, the memories that anchor us, and the stories that live quietly beneath the surface.

Whether you’re drawn to the calm of the coast, the warmth of earth tones, or the sense of sanctuary woven through each piece, I hope this exhibition offers a moment of stillness.
